Liar

Satan is the Father of lies. When he speaks, he speaks out of who he is. The Great Deceiver-The one who deceives the whole world. This is how the Bible describes him. Because of Jesus' victory over him at the resurrection, his only power now is the lie and he is a master of it. He has lied from the very beginning and continues today.

Many are literally held hostage to his lies. They believe what is not true and live in a prison of deception. They lose thier identity. They lose thier loved ones. They lose thier hope. Simply because they believe what is not true.

This happened in the Garden of Eden where they "exchanged the truth of God for the lie". The lie is that you can live your life independant of God.

Odds are that even right now you are believing some lie that is holding you back from who know you were meant to be. That is what Satan does he lies and he is good at it.

John 14:6 (NLT) Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

So, Father of Lies, huh. I can testify to this. I'm at work. Normal. Something gets thrown away. It was an accident. Words were said to "correct" the mistake. Stewing in me was the underling meanings of these words "correct"ing me. In comes the lies. Exaggeration if you will. Some don't see it as lying because it is the truth, but it is twisted and skewed to fit our emotions in the moment.

How do I break the power of these lies that have been spoken and started an outrage of emails in defense and offense? Confession at the cross. Pressing the sin against me and the sin committed by me to the Cross. Confrontation but with humility and responsibility.

This morning was uncomfortable. BUT I knew what to do. I could understand that my next actions were key to my walk with Christ, my example of Christ and my relationship with this coworker.

Tears were shed. Apologies given. I know the truth. Even when the lies stare me in the face.

Cat,
It is good to hear your story. I am encouraged that your faith lives in the workplace. May Christ be known thru you today.

It's nice to be able to see where God's message can fit into my life. When I'm looking and aware, it is then I can see God working in my life.

Cheers to you, vessle of God.
