11 years in Vegas

It is hard to believe that just over 11 years ago Michelle and I packed up everything & left Oklahoma to follow a dream. So much has changed since that day. I remember arriving and unloading our van with our friends Bill & Mary who made the trip out with us (They would later move here to join us in the mission for a few years). We knew hardly anyone in Las Vegas. I thought, " What if we can't reach people"? Or "What if I fail?" We worked so hard. We really did not know exactly what to do. But we did know one very important thing: God led us to come here and plant this church. So we poured our hearts into the work and valued every relationship that he gave us. Now there is a vibrant and dynamic church that has touched the lives of so many. We have made so many great friends. This weekend will be fun to take a trip down memory lane and cast vision for our future. I hope you can come and celebrate with us.

Wow another anniversary! My first memory of you Pastor is when you and Don Arkell came to get an old refrigerator from my garage to give to a member of the church. I was just happy to be getting rid of the old thing but little did I know that the man helping Don that day would change my life forever. Thank God I do not believe in first impressions! I was so shut down from "religion" that someone asking me if had a relationship with Jesus within the first minute of meeting them, could have set me off. I am pleased to say, 10 years later my family and I are now, long time members of NCC. Thank you, Michelle, Lynnie and many others for helping me in becoming the women God has been seeing since before my birth. Only God and NCC could have taken the pain and shame from my childhood, that the devil planned on using to destroy me, and changed it into my hearts ministry.
May the Lord continue to bless you and Michelle, and remember when life is tough and some days it seems like "all this" does not matter, remember the Edillons, you saved our lives.
